Saturday 23rd September – bike **** – Around Felixstowe including lunch by the Orwell near Levington – Sunny periods:)

Woke to a nice sunny morning, relaxing start and I had just enough time to do my exercise in the sunshine before I had to walk up to the doctors to que with a load of old peope to get my flu and covid jabs, I cannot fault Howard House they were excellent, seemed to inject half the pensioners in Felixstowe this morning! Then home to find Mag pottering in the garden so I peel veg fo tonights roastie and pack a picnic for a bike ride to make the most of the nice weather. We leave home around one and take the tree lined route leading down to the River Orwell just below Levington, so peaceful with very few peope about:) We arrived at our picnic spot at 1.45 as several yachts were heading out as well as an old barge, lovely to watch. Once again we had some lovely clouds with a nice breeze from the NW and it looked like the yachts were enjoying the conditions. Well rested we head for home taking a different route over the huge green footbridge and over to Candlet Road, at Gulpher Road we continued right to the coast coming out near the golf course. Then around to The Fludyers, up Bent Hill and home:) Time to put the chicken in the oven and make a crumble, good day for sport as Ipswich Town win again and England had a good game too:)
Its looking breezy tomorrow, not sure of the venue yet, depends how windy it is and the wind continues all week!
